Love Of My Life

Love of my life - you've hurt me
You've broken my heart and now you leave me
Love of my life can't you see
Bring it back, bring it back
Don't take it away from me
Because you don't know -
What it means to me

Love of my life - don't leave me
You've stolen my love and now desert me
Love of my life can't you see
Bring it back, bring it back
Don't take it away from me
Because you don't know -
What it means to me

You will remember -
When this is blown over
And everything's all by the way -
When I grow older
I will be there at your side to remind you
How I still love you - I still love you

Ooooo
Hurry back - hurry back
Dont take it away from me
Because you don't know
What it means to me

Love of my life
Love of my life ...

  1. i have been in a blogging funk, which in reality has been a vegan funk since after the holidays. i was recently looking up albums from when i was a kid, and really first started buying them. i came across "night at the opera", as that was one of the very first albums i ever bought.

i really wanted this song to be played at my wedding as it is such a beautiful song, but clearly the lyrics forbade that. ever since i put the album on my zune, i've been listening to it constantly.

the other week i had a dream with this song playing, and it included a variety of food. yes, i have food dreams. i found this odd, and it stuck in my head so i felt compelled to document it. maybe i just needed something to get me writing again. since i didn't write this, i'm not sure it will work. we'll see

  2. That's such a sad little post Brian! Hope you're ok. Sorry you're having such a vegan funk. I have to say those images of beige food made me think of all the wonderful things that we can eat as vegans and how amazing it is to have people to share your love of food with. Sounds to me like you need to find a bloody good restaurant to go to to get treated nicely and have some tasty vegan food. Or have a lovely indulgent evening (or day!) of making new and exciting things to tempt your palate. Just think about your 1yr old's party and the awesome sushi you made... surely you have some nori left over for a second go?

Dreams with food in usually just remind me of the marshmallow joke. I'm not sure I've ever had a food dream... strange.

What did you have as your first song at your wedding? Something a little less painful I hope!

    Cheer up chuck,
    Leigh

  3. hahaha,... that did sound a little Lucy-like at the end. thanks for bringing a smile to my face. btw, our wedding dance was "Lovesong" by The Cure. my friends band rearranged it, and slowed it down. it was amazing. :-) thanks leigh

  4. I love that song, the cure is awesome. This post however is another story. You must get out of your funk and somehow eat what you love but still hold on to your morals.

  5. Thanks Neven, yes they ARE awesome :) Yeah I need to break out of this. The travel is not helping, I'm 6 or 7 weeks straight on the road now, and its getting tiring as I cannot keep to a schedule. I freaked my dad out a bit, he thought some big announcement was forthcoming. Just a funk I assured him, I'll get out. Thanks for the note

  6. If you can, try to add some more greens to your diet it will help you tremendously. I would not have been able to give up eating things like steak and fried chicken, which believe it or not I once loved, w/o the greens. They are great at cutting out cravings. Traveling that much makes everything difficult, especially when you are trying to eat vegan in cities you have never been to.
Also the funk my just be the time of year, I've been in one myself for the past few days... or more like a week. Mine is kind of gone-ish. Hope you get past yours soon.

  7. Of all the sandwiches in the world, Jimmy Johns? You *are* in a funk! :) Hope you push through it! Sending you good veggie vibes. I was in a funk this weekend and went to Jason's Deli and smeared those little toasts with red pepper hummus until I was nearly comatose. Maybe give that a go?
