The good news is that as the vegan yrs go on, it gets easier & easier even on vacation (restaurant planning in advance on sites like happycow.net) Am headed down to Marco Island in a few weeks, am ready for lots of pasta eating ;)vkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12062889933701288004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2551994369636725839.post-41792495419191264672011-04-06T23:38:54.440-04:002011-04-06T23:38:54.440-04:00Okay, all of that and the thing that sticks out mo...Okay, all of that and the thing that sticks out most to me is "Wow, those are great colors on those cupcakes!" I can't believe your daughter wouldn't at least want to eat all that lovely frosting. :-)
Oh, and everyone cheats on vacation - it's just usually very fattening desserts for most of us. It's a vacation after all - enjoy it and make up for it later. It's the overall balance in life that is important.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07666570743143622513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2551994369636725839.post-37003157392295306482011-04-05T23:18:35.367-04:002011-04-05T23:18:35.367-04:00I agree with veganversion, you don't have to b...I agree with veganversion, you don't have to be too hard on yourself.

but that being said, sometimes being vegan is going without. that's why i pack ahead. I have a little dark chocolate in my purse so if everyone else is having a cookie I have my own treat. or have it later. as for restaurant meals, maybe you can convince your family to go cheaper and get stuff from a grocery store instead like bread and hummus? and they can get whatever fixings they want. just an idea.bitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07897733975604744859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2551994369636725839.post-39336265631012294922011-04-05T22:42:13.340-04:002011-04-05T22:42:13.340-04:00Brian, you are way to hard on yourself. I was recently at a work dinner at a "famous Florida seafood place" where there was not a single vegan or vegetarian option on the menu. I ordered pasta, no cheese, but from the flavor of the sauce I would guess there was cheese in it. Not sure, but, I did the best I could. Be true to yourself, that is what is most important. The Vegan Versionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14104731032363373343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2551994369636725839.post-73164493998064765332011-04-05T22:20:47.259-04:002011-04-05T22:20:47.259-04:00This comment has been removed by the author. The Vegan Versionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14104731032363373343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2551994369636725839.post-86244724160808996402011-04-05T22:01:28.725-04:002011-04-05T22:01:28.725-04:00Glad you are back in the saddle buddy...I've d...Glad you are back in the saddle buddy...I've donned the vacation blinders myself a time or two.
